Alexandra Pao is an independent consultant/contractor and the owner of HRM101. HRM101 is a professional, cost-effective alternative to an in-house HR staff.

Alexandra’s 18-year career in human resources management provides the in-depth knowledge and expertise that makes HRM101 a leader in the field of comprehensive human resources services for small and mid-size businesses. She served seven years as HR Manager for The Home Depot in Southern California, where in six months, Alexandra customized associate trainings and increased participation by 50% while reducing training-related costs by 30%. As HR manager at the store level, she reduced supervisor turnover by 90% and overall turnover by 45% in less than one year.

As an independent HR consultant, Alexandra provided general and specialty HR services for several computer hardware and software companies. She also assisted organizations in merger, start-up and downsizing. During her eight years with Sceptre Industries, Sverdrup Corporation and Leiner Health Products, Alexandra gained broad experience as a corporate recruiter, negotiator, legal compliance consultant, leadership trainer and much more.

Alexandra has a BBA degree in Human Resources Management, and an AA degree in Mathematics. She holds a certificate as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and a second certificate in Computer Programming. She is a Professional Member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Professional in Human Resources Association (PIHRA).
